I have had the opportunity to work with Nate Copeland for nearly two decades in various government contracting and leadership roles. During that time, Nate has been a pioneer in driving tradecraft and creating a culture of excellence and inclusion. Recently, we asked Nate to support our supervisory training initiatives by providing a seminar related to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for our management cadre. The session was so great and well received by our management cadre that we asked Nate to present the following month on Employee Engagement Best Practices. Nate is a natural when it comes to training and sharing lessons learned from his career in a practical and digestible manner – often tackling difficult topics while promoting candid conversation and an opportunity for thinking of things differently. Our team benefited greatly from Nate’s content, and we have fused his teachings into our corporate DNA.
I have personally and professionally known Nate Copeland for over 15 years. In our time working together, he demonstrated the ability to be a hands-on leader, able to interact and communicate with people at all levels. My company recently wanted to provide an “Inclusive Workplace” seminar for our leadership team. This team includes Team Leads who work onsite with our staff and customers up to our Executive Staff including CEO. Nate has a unique ability to communicate with all levels and people from all backgrounds. His presentation was interactive and engaged the team to openly discuss various topics that would often not be broached. He made everyone comfortable and feel they were in an environment of inclusivity. I received multiple accolades from the staff after the seminar, with many mentioning how they expected it to be more confrontational than it was. Instead, they felt reinvigorated from the conversations and a better understanding of how to approach various situations in their work environment. Nate impressed myself and other members of the executive staff so much that we asked him to return and provide a seminar on Leadership and Employee Engagement. Again, he was able to lead this seminar in a way that engaged all levels of leadership and ensured an interactive experience. I highly recommend Nate to lead any coaching, leadership or diversity related workshops. We will definitely look to have him return again in the future.
Nate Copeland has demonstrated creative intelligence and wisdom as he has risen to some of the highest levels within America’s corporate ladder, Nate draws from his own personal experiences when speaking of diversity and the power it can bring to an organization.
